Lawrence Wilde is a composer, poet, interdisciplinary artist, and educator. His works have been commissioned and performed by ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet, Eighth Blackbird, JACK Quartet, ÆON, Sō Percussion, Tesla Quartet, Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, Moscow String Quartet, Ensemble Mise-En, Juilliard Orchestra and others. Wilde's music has been programmed at festivals and venues such as the Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Carnegie Hall, Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Festival, Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, Centro Nacional de Difusion Musical, and others. Wilde began his composition studies with Daniel Kellogg in Boulder Colorado and went on to complete a B.M in music composition at the Juilliard School and an M.F.A. at Princeton University where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. Wilde studies privately with Sofia Gubaidulina in Hamburg Germany during summers. He has been a composition fellow at the Aspen Music Festival, Bang On A Can Music Festival, and Tanglewood. His works have been recognized by the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) with multiple Morton Gould Awards.
